What is a Professional Discussion?

A professional discussion is a structured conversation between you and an independent assessor. It forms part of the End-Point Assessment for many apprenticeship standards and is designed to assess how you've applied your learning in a real working environment.

Rather than being a test with right or wrong answers, the discussion gives you the opportunity to talk about your experiences, explain the decisions you've made and provide examples of how you've demonstrated the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) required by your apprenticeship standard.
