Safety, Health and Environment Technician

Level 3

A Safety, Health and Environment Technician Assessment Organisation is an approved company responsible for providing apprenticeship assessments in the Health and Safety sector. As an assessment organisation, we ensure that apprentices meet the standards and competencies outlined in the relevant apprenticeship standards.

What the Role Entails

SHE Technicians can work across various industries and organisation sizes, either at a single site or across multiple locations. The role is split between office duties and on-site work, advising others on safe and responsible practices. They support management and delivery teams by advising on statutory health, safety, and environmental (SHE) requirements and helping to implement legal and company policies. Daily tasks include developing, reviewing, and checking safe systems of work, delivering training (e.g. toolbox talks and inductions), investigating incidents, analysing data, and reporting findings to management. They influence others by promoting the benefits of working responsibly, understanding legal obligations, and demonstrating how effective SHE practices support operational performance.
