Adult Care Worker

An Adult Care Worker Assessment Organisation is an approved company that is responsible for providing assessments for apprenticeships in the field of Adult Care. As an assessment organisation in the Adult Care sector, we will ensure that apprentices meet the required standards and competencies outlined in the relevant apprenticeship standards.
What the Role Entails
The broad purpose of the occupation is to enhance the well-being, independence, and dignity of individuals requiring care and support. Adult care workers play a crucial role in helping people overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives. Their duties vary based on the services provided and the specific needs of each individual.
Adult Care Workers may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, a person’s own home or some clinical healthcare settings.
Adult care workers often work shift systems. Depending on the size of the organisation, they may be required to work on their own, or they may work as part of a wider team.

Apprentices are not required to undertake any additional assessments.
The qualification detailed in the occupational standard must be achieved before the end of the apprenticeship.

Order of Assessment Methods
It is important that the assessment of apprentices is proportionate, valid, and provides reliable evidence of an apprentice’s attainment of the relevant knowledge and skills. The knowledge and skills within the occupational standard fully align with the outcomes listed in the qualification, the qualification’s assessment result shall confirm apprenticeship completion.
